| Exploration of Interprovincial Coal-bed Methane Business Between Shanxi Province and Hebei Province |
HONG KONG, Dec 13, 2010 - (ACN Newswire) - China Suntien Green Energy Corporation Limited ("China Suntien" or the "Company" ; SEHK:0956), one of the leading clean energy companies in Northern China, is pleased to announce that the Company has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement (the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement") with Shanxi International Energy Group Gas Investment & Management Co., Ltd. (hereafter "Shanxi International Energy Gas") in relation to the cooperation of construction and operation of the interprovincial gas pipelines for coal-bed methane (natural gas) between Shanxi Province and Hebei Province and processing and utilization of coal-bed methane (natural gas).
Pursuant to the Strategic Cooperation Agreement, the parties will jointly construct two interprovincial gas pipelines, namely, Shanxi Heshun - Hebei Xingtai Pipeline and Shanxi Licheng - Hebei Handan Pipeline, for the supply of coal-bed methane (natural gas) to Hebei Province. Both parties have agreed to set up liaison teams or working groups for discussion on the cooperation on a regular basis and will prepare a proposal on details of the cooperation for government approval as soon as practicable.
Shanxi International Energy Gas is a wholly-owned subsidiary of a large state-owned enterprise, Shanxi International Energy Group Co., Ltd., which is mainly engaged in the exploration, utilization and market operation of coal-bed methane (natural gas).
The Board believes that the cooperation with Shanxi International Energy Gas will help the Company explore alternative natural gas supply source, which is an important measure to enhance the Company's natural gas supply diversification, and therefore will benefit the Company and its shareholders as a whole.
