HONG KONG, July 29, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - Dongpeng Holdings Company Limited ("Dongpeng" or the "Company" and, together with its subsidiaries, the "Group", Stock Code: 3386), the largest ceramic tile company in China, will be holding a launch ceremony for the "PRC Building Ceramics Industry 2025 Intelligence Manufacturing" project and officially announcing the Group's "PRC Building Ceramics Industry 2025" strategy on 29 July 2015 in Foshan, PRC. The Company's focus on upgrading and transforming the existing Qingyuan production base will be the Group's first project in direct response to the PRC State Council's [2015] no. 28 notice on 8 May 2015 (titled "PRC Manufacturing 2025").
In implementing the first stage of the "PRC Building Ceramics Industry 2025" strategy, the Company will put its attention on realizing five major projects: (i) to establish the first international research and development center of the building ceramics industry; (ii) to build the first eco-friendly factory of the building ceramics industry; (iii) to create the first "smart" factory of the building ceramics industry; (iv) to set up the first central database of the building ceramics industry; and (v) to formulate the first industrialization and informatization integration standard of the building ceramics industry. This strategy will be implemented using factory automation as a platform to facilitate interconnectedness between equipment within a factory and in the process, realizing the creation of a "smart" factory within PRC.
Meanwhile, production, marketing, customers, logistics and other information will be shared through the construction of a central database with the aim of improving the factories' production efficiency, accelerating the Group's market response and enhancing the Group's operational efficiency. With the Completion of the "smart" factory, it is expected that the aggregate energy consumption of the Group's production bases will decrease.
