TOKYO, Apr 26, 2010 - (ACN Newswire) - Fujitsu today announced that it will be supporting the Japan Pavilion, nicknamed "Purple Silkworm Island," at the Expo 2010 Shanghai China to be held from May 1 through October 31. Fujitsu's support will include developing an add-on entertainment website, "Meng Gui Suo Meng: A place that inspires dreams is itself the stuff that dreams are made of," that will go live during the expo to help increase awareness of the Japan Pavilion and foster friendship between Japan and China.
Japan Pavilion at Expo 2010 Shanghai The Shanghai Expo, which will run for 184 days between May 1 and October 31, will be the largest exhibition in history. Covering 3.28 million square meters, the fair will be twice as large as the Aichi Expo held in Japan in 2005. Approximately 70 million visitors are expected to visit.
As one of the noteworthy pavilions at the Shanghai Expo, the Japan Pavilion will consist of various exhibits and two shows around the theme "Harmony of the Hearts, Harmony of the Skills." The main message of the pavilion is "Connect for a Harmonious Future."
Fujitsu's website, "Meng Gui Suo Meng: A place that inspires dreams is itself the stuff that dreams are made of," will go live for the duration of the exhibition. To highlight Japan's attractions, the website will feature JUN JUN, a Shanghai-native member of the Japanese pop group MORNING MUSUME。, interwoven with cartoons drawn by Mari Okazaki, in a story about traveling to Japan in a world of dreams.
