Vodafone Global Enterprise Opens Regional Office in Singapore

SINGAPORE, Sept 23, 2010 - (ACN Newswire) - Vodafone Global Enterprise today announces the opening of a new Regional Office in Asia Pacific, designed to further enhance the delivery of managed communications services to multinationals.

The regional hub, based in Singapore City, will spearhead the expansion of Vodafone Global Enterprise's operations in Asia Pacific and provide superior levels of local support. As well as servicing multinational customers in its neighbouring markets, the Singapore office will complement Vodafone Global Enterprise's existing presence in the Indian, Australian, Japanese, New Zealand and Hong Kong markets to provide unparalleled coverage and service levels in the Asia Pacific area.

The move is designed to meet growing demand among multinational businesses for sophisticated communications solutions in a region that continues to grow in global importance.

Vodafone Global Enterprise is the business within Vodafone that manages the communications needs of the largest multinational companies worldwide. Among its customer base, 140 multinational corporations are headquartered in Asia, and an additional 435 global customers have operations in Singapore or its neighbouring countries.

"Businesses in the Asia Pacific region are increasingly looking to get more out of their telecommunications spend by choosing a single service provider to manage multiple contracts covering both fixed and mobile services," said Stevan Hoyle, Director of Vodafone Global Enterprise, Asia and Africa Region. "The launch of this new office makes us even better placed to deliver the benefits of greater cost efficiencies for our clients."

"The Asian market is home to many of the world's leading multinational corporations and is playing a key role in the growth plans of many more," said Nick Jeffery, CEO of Vodafone Global Enterprise. "This initiative is consistent with our philosophy of co-locating to where our customers are based in order to provide them with exceptional service. The launch of this new regional hub also means that we can provide greater consultancy on businesses' communications needs on a local basis."
