BANGKOK, Oct 28, 2013 - (ACN Newswire) - REC is the latest major manufacturer to sign up to sponsor the Solar Energy Southeast Asia conference taking place in Thailand in December.
Solar Energy Southeast Asia is a major new international, top-level conference which aims to support and accelerate the deployment of solar energy - both on- and off-grid - throughout the region.
Organised by Solar Media, the international publisher of the PV-Tech website and Solar Business Focus magazine, it takes place at the IMPACT Arena in Bangkok on December 3 and 4.
It will bring together developers, investors, energy companies, NGOs, contractors/EPCs, manufacturers and suppliers along with senior policy makers.
The high level of interest in the event reflects the increasing strength of the region. ASEAN PV markets are expected to grow at 50% per year with PV installations forecast to reach almost 5GW by 2016.
The conference has a high-powered agenda.
The Thai Minister of Energy, HE Mr Pongsak Ruktapongpisal, has been invited to give the keynote opening address and the programme contains speakers from many top developers, including:
