SINGAPORE, Mar 17, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - AccessData, the leader in incident resolution solutions, today announced that Jason Mical, Vice President of Cyber Security, AccessData Group, will be a featured speaker at the 17th International Exhibition and Conference for Electronic Security, Info Security, Fire and Safety (Secutech), taking place from 19-21 March 2014 in Taipei, Taiwan.
Mical's keynote presentation titled "Flying blind and wasting time - filling detection, analysis and remediation gaps" will tackle security incidents such as data theft, hacking and malware attacks and findings on how poor detection and response times are in today's sophisticated threat landscape.
Chief information security officers and IT departments often find themselves confronted by daunting information challenges. In a report done in collaboration with Ponemon Institute, AccessData surveyed 1,083 CISOs and security technicians in the United States and EMEA about how companies handle the immediate aftermath of a cyber-attack. Findings show that 86% of respondents say detection of a cyber-attack takes too long; 85% say they suffer from a lack of prioritization of incidents; 74% say poor or no integration between security products negatively affects response capabilities and 61% say too many alerts from too many point solutions also hinders investigations.
