"According to a public study conducted in Singapore, 93 percent of Singaporeans surveyed desired straighter teeth and a perfect smile. Yet, less than a third of them have sought orthodontic treatment," said Julie Tay, Asia Pacific Vice President of Align Technology, creators of the Invisalign clear aligner system. From the same study[1], the respondents were found to relate better smiles to the ability to be more successful at work (67 percent) and in their dating life (79 percent). In addition, 60 percent of Singaporeans surveyed would readily give up S$10,000 in retirement savings for a better smile.
