Starting from Wuhan City, Chutian Expressway, also known as Hanyi Expressway, connected Xiantao, Jinzhou, Zhijiang and other nine cities to Yichang City. As an important main highway in Hubei Province, Chutian Expressway was opened to traffic in 1994 and the average daily traffic achieved 15,000 per day. By using remixing Hot-in-Place recycling technology, the Group treated the rutted road diseases which caused by the heavy and high volume traffic. The testing result after the maintenance services showed that shear resistance, dynamical stability and other main parameters were significantly higher than the national standards.
On 17 July, the official website of the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China published the graphic report at an important position on the home page and stated that Zhijiang Section of Chutian Expressway achieved 100% recycle of the asphalt road materials by using the Group's Hot-in-Place recycling technology and saved 25% cost compared to the traditional technology under the same maintenance volume after calculation.
About Hot-in-Place Technology Hot-in-Place Technology is used in asphalt pavement maintenance, an on-site, in-place technology that rehabilitates deteriorated asphalt pavements through heating, scarifying and mixing the damaged asphalt materials with new materials and thereby minimises the use of new materials. The primary purpose of this process is to repair pavement damages such as cracks, ruts and holes, and bumps.
