TOKYO, Oct 26, 2010 - (ACN Newswire) - Yamatake Corporation of the azbil Group has announced that it has established an overseas affiliate in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Azbil Brazil Ltd. recently started operations.
Yamatake is developing its operations with the aim of achieving high growth in its international business, particularly in the priority markets of China and Southeast Asia. Just this April, Yamatake set up an overseas affiliate in India. Azbil Brazil is located in what is the largest industrial country in South America: Brazil's economy is currently growing at a rate equivalent to 5% per year, making it one of the few countries to be achieving significant industrial and economic growth.
Initially Azbil Brazil is focusing on providing maintenance services for factories, but it will steadily develop a solutions business tailored for local customers. The establishment of Azbil Brazil opens the way to cultivating a new customer base in Central and South America, centered on Brazil, through providing enhanced service, high quality, and prompt solutions to issues facing customers in this region. Azbil Brazil, which has started operations with 10 employees, plans to achieve sales of 200 million yen in the first year and 2 billion yen after 3 years.
