| - Secures More Than 70% of Tender Projects |
HONG KONG, Nov 8, 2010 - (ACN Newswire) - Centron Telecom International Holdings Limited ("Centron Telecom" or the "Group") (HKEx:1155), a specialist in the R&D, production and sale of mobile telecommunication and mobile digital television network coverage products and network optimisation solutions, announced that it has won tenders for 13 out of 17 network equipment projects held by China Broadcasting Corporation ("CBC") more than any other bidding company. CBC is wholly owned by The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television.
The principal projects in the two network equipment tenders CBC held in October included those for CMMB mobile TV data stream transmission equipment (repeaters) and mobile TV transmitters. The products of Centron Telecom were selected by CBC among many other bidders for the two tenders. The Group is to begin providing digital TV network infrastructure related products to CBC by the end of this year and in the coming year.

CBC is the fourth wireless network operator invested and set up by the state following China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom. The company intends to invest significantly in establishing a national mobile TV network enabling users to watch mobile TV programmes across the country at any time as well as enjoy a series of value-added services. The Group's digital TV business is set to benefit from the immense opportunities in the next few years.
