BEIJING, July 11, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - According to the recent research of Xpshou.com released on Sunday, in 2016 the number of the global households with digital TVs will have doubled compared with 2010. More than 30 countries in the world will have popularized digital TV completely.
This report shows that in 2016 the global digital TV households will reach 1.19 billion, covering 80% of households. In contrast, the global penetration rate of digital TV in 2010 is 42.5%. This prediction is based on the company's forecast for 73 countries.
Xpshou.com (http://www.xpshou.com/product/) analyzes that by 2016, digital TV will be fully universal in 33 countries worldwide. In the December of 2010, only Finland completely universalized digital TV. The report predicts that of the increased 615 million digital TV households from 2010 to 2016, 41.8% of the new digital home will have digital cable. By the end of 2016, the number of the analog TV households will fall to 297 million. The penetration rate will shrink to 20%. In contrast, in 2010 the number of analog TV households was 781 million and the penetration rate was 57.5%.
Xpshou.com points out that in 2010 China has become the country that has the most digital TV households in the world. By 2016, China will account for a quarter of the digital TV households in the world, followed by the United States and India.
