Further Diversify Environmental Protection Related Business |
HONG KONG, July 13, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - China Environmental Technology Holdings Limited "China Environmental Technology" or the "Group", HKSE: 0646) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a contract with the Management Committee of Chanba (the "Management Committee") ecological zone in Xi'an in relation to the water quality maintenance project of the lake in 2011 Xi'an World Horticultural Expo Zone. The total amount of the contract is RMB11,600,000.
According to the contract, the Group will provide several units of mobile magnetic separation water treatment system devises with models of 5,000 tonnes, 3,000 tonnes and 1,000 tonnes for the Management Committee of Chanba. The mode of services include purchase, lease and daily operation of these devices.
Mr Xu Zhong Ping, Chairman of China Environmental Technology, said, "The contract with the Management Committee of Chanba is another milestone of the Group. This marks a substantive progress towards cooperation between the Group and Management Committee of Chanba after the signing of the framework agreement in April this year. In future, the Group will expect more projects to be awarded from the Management Committee of Chanba under the framework agreement."
Xi'an Chanba ecological zone was established in September 2004 with a planned area of 129 sq. kilometers, which is one of the key development projects in Xi'an. The ecological zone consists of six development sectors including eco-city and eco-business.
2011 Xi'an World Horticultural Expo Zone is located at the Guangyuntan scenic zone, to the east of Bahe River, with a total area of 418 hectares including 188-hectares water area. The average depth is 1.5 meters. The capacity of the lake is 2,820,000 cubic meters. Some water areas of the Expo Zone were negatively impacted by the growth of algae. The landscape in the expo zone was affected by the green and muddy water.
Mr. Xu concluded, "With the Group's leading technology in water treatment and excellent management ability, the Group will utilize its magnetic separation water treatment technology to improve and maintain the water quality in the lake in the horticultural expo zone. By using the relative technology, the Group will also help ease the problem of algae and water impurities in order to support the smooth operation of 2011 Xi'an World Horticultural Expo Zone."
