Chemchinanet.com: Facebook Mobile Applications Have over 200 Million Users

BEIJING, Aug 3, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - According to the recent research of Chemchinanet.com Facebook has about 250 million mobile users, of which about 200 million use mobile applications to log in. Among people who own Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, there are 85 million people using Facebook mobile applications. The penetration rate is about 50%. While people who log in via WAP mobile network are about 50 million.

Chemchinanet.com reports that Apple has sold 190 million units of iPhone and iPod Touch, of which there is 85 million Facebook users. Taking into account many of these devices have been discontinued, about 50% to 60% of the active iPhone and iPod Touch users are using a mobile phone to log in Facebook.

Android devices sold a total of 120 to 130 million, of which about 76 million are Facebook users. Chemchinanet.com points out that one-third of them used a customized version pre-installed by the mobile phone manufacturers. The featured phone applications published by Facebook a few months ago has 7.5 million active users.

Chemchinanet.com analyzes that according to Platform, Facebook users who log in by using the computer account for 67%. IPhone and iPod users account for 11%; Android users account for 10%. BlackBerry users account for 6 %. The iPad, Nokia users account for 1% respectively.
