BEIJING, Aug 15, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - According to the recent research of Everychina.com Apple iPad will soon face the competition from high-performance Android Tablet PC which will be launched this year. NVIDIA said the Tablet PC configured with quad-core Kal-El processor chips will be available this fall. Mobile phones configured with this kind of chips will go to the market in 2012.
Everychina.com (http://www.everychina.com/) reports that NVIDIA processors are currently used in most popular Android Honeycomb Tablet PC, including Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Toshiba Thrive, Acer Iconia Tab A500 and so on. Sony Tablet PC will also use NVIDIA Tegra processors in the future.
Nvidia said that quad-core processors will offer higher performance and be more energy efficient in the future. It is logical to think that the power consumption of quad-core processor is even more. However, the analysts said the performance of Kal-El processor is more powerful than Tegra 2 and it is more power.
Everychina.com points out that Texas Instruments and Qualcomm also plan to launch new quad-core processors. However, these new products will be launched in 2012. Apple will launch iPad with quad-core A6 processor, better graphics card and updated design in the next year.
