BEIJING, Oct 21, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - According to the recent research of Isp.org.cn, by September, China's 3G subscribers exceeded 100 million. In August the penetration of 3G subscribers has exceeded 10%.
Isp.org.cn (http://www.isp.org.cn/products/) points out that according to latest data released by the operators, as of September, China Unicom's total number of 3G users reached 30.23 million. China Mobile and China Telecom will also announce today its number of users in September. As of August, China Mobile's 3G subscribers reached 40.32 million and China Telecom 3G subscribers reached 25.61 million. In fact, in September, the 3G users of the three operators have exceeded 100 million.
Isp.org.cn reports that, under the international law, 10% is a market turning point. After the user penetration rate exceeded 10%, the market will usher in the blowout of development. In the first nine months of this year, China's new 3G users accounted for more than 60%.
The experts of Isp.org.cn analyzes that 3G's rapid development is closely related to the development of smart terminals. Since the second half of 2010, the global shipments of smart terminals have maintained a growth rate of more than 80%. There are 340 models of new added smart phones this year, an increase of 103%. From January to September, the domestic production of smart phones exceeded 70 million units.
