SINGAPORE, Aug 23, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - 13 international group pavilions will be joining this year's OSEA, occupying 15 per cent more exhibition space compared to its previous edition in 2010.
OSEA2012, the international business event of choice for Asia's oil and gas professionals, is gearing up to open its doors from 27-30 November at Marina Bay Sands Singapore. The exhibition will feature a diverse scale of group pavilions hailing from countries/regions including Australia, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Singapore, United Kingdom and USA.
"This edition of OSEA has progressed not just in terms of size, but also in relevance to the global Oil & Gas industry. We have witnessed a surge in interest and participation from abroad, as the international oil and gas conglomerates embark on the road towards expansion in the burgeoning Asia region," says Chua Buck Cheng, Project Director of Engineering Events, Singapore Exhibition Services (SES).
Group pavilions expand in depth and breadth
Not limited to growth in the total number of group participants, several pavilion organisers have committed to more exhibition floor space. Norway and USA for instance, have expanded their pavilions' sizes by 20 per cent. As a result, show attendees will gain exposure to a wider range of revolutionary products, solutions and technologies brought to and demonstrated during the event by the pavilion participants.
"Norway has been participating at OSEA for many years. Many of our exhibiting companies have provided feedback that the event has enabled them to maintain existing business relationships and widen their business contacts in Asia. OSEA is relevant to the Norwegian oil & gas industry and we have seen increasing interest from Norwegian companies wanting to participate in this exhibition," say Tay Siow Hwee, Director (Singapore), Innovation Norway & Per Hagen, Regional Director, INTSOK joint organisers of the Norwegian Pavilion.
Exhibitors in the Norwegian group pavilion include Zenitel Marine Asia, IMS Industri & Montasjeservice AS, Eide Marine Tech AS, Jotron Asia, Umoe Schat-Harding (F E) and more.
Russian participation to make a big impression
For the third time, Russia will be participating with an official pavilion their biggest group participation ever witnessed at OSEA. Reported to be the largest producer of oil and natural gas, the largest exporter of natural gas and the fourth-largest energy consumer (after China, India and USA) in 2010, Russia has significant reserves of fossil fuels, metals, natural gas, ores and uranium[i].
"We are very much excited to join OSEA for the third time with the Russian National Pavilion. This year we are bringing the biggest exposition to date, and the most impressive Russian delegation, including representatives of the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia, as well as of leading Russian oil and gas companies Gazprom, Gazprom EP International, Dalmorneteftegeophysica, Navigator and others," says Elena Rytova, the Division Director of RESTEC Exhibition Company, Russia.
In tradition with Russian participation in OSEA, a Russian Seminar will be organised as part of the Russian Day Program held during the event. Current issues of Russian oil and gas industry will be discussed at the Seminar, such as the state policy of Russia in the hydrocarbon resources development and the activity of Russian companies abroad; development trends of the Russian energy market; and Russian projects on the continental shelf.
Well-geared to beat previous records
Poised to top previous records, OSEA2012, with its exhibition space fully allocated since March this year, will occupy two levels of exhibition space, or 32,000 square metres, at the Marina Bay Sands. The exhibition will play host to a congregation of 1,500 international exhibitors from 48 countries/regions.
The previous event attracted more than 25,000 trade attendees from over 60 countries/regions, and saw visitors from some of the world's major oil and gas players, including the Bahrain National Gas Company, BP Exploration Operating Company, Brunei LNG, Brunei Shell Petroleum, Chevron, CNOOC, Directorate General of Oil & Gas Indonesia, ExxonMobil Asia Pacific, Halliburton Far East, Jurong Shipyard, Kuwait Gulf Oil Company, Keppel Energy, Maersk Drilling, Malaysia Marine & Heavy Engineering, Myanmar Offshore, Petronas Carigali, Sembcorp Marine, Shell Eastern Petroleum, Vietnam National Oil & Gas Group, and many more.
