Thomson Reuters Provides PwC with Corporate Tax Technology in China
PwC signs three-year deal to use ONESOURCE Corporate Tax China.

SHANGHAI, Dec 20, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - Thomson Reuters, the world's leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, today announced that it has signed a three-year contract with PwC, the world's leading professional services organisation, to provide use of its ONESOURCE Corporate Tax solution for China.

In assisting clients with their tax preparation and compliance obligations, the use of tax technology by PwC will help to improve efficiency, accuracy and reduce risk in tax compliance. This is timely in light of China's changing tax environment which presents uncertainties and challenges for taxpayers, as they seek to ensure compliance with tax laws and reporting requirements.

"With ONESOURCE Corporate Tax China, our Tax Management and Accounting services are taken to another level. Adopting this technology will go a long way in helping PwC drive value for our clients throughout their entire tax and accounting cycle," said Matthew Wong, tax partner, PwC China.

The solution automates tax law changes and many aspects of compliance calculation. This helps provide transparency and audit capabilities to ensure accuracy, enabling users to focus on strategic value-add projects. ONESOURCE Corporate Tax is currently used by PwC UK and will be used by PwC across China - Beijing, Dalian, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Tianjin.

"We strive to exceed the needs of our clients wherever they may be based. Having a local presence and a global offering has enabled us to do just this," said Charlotte Rushton, managing director Asia Pacific and EMEA for the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters.

"As we continue to expand and develop our ONESOURCE suite of tax software and services in new markets we are able to reassure new entrants, and those like PwC that have a strong presence, that our solutions can help maintain accurate and seamless compliance with increasingly complex international tax laws and accounting rules across the world."
