TOKYO, Jan 23, 2013 - (ACN Newswire) - Hays Specialist Recruitment Japan KK ("Hays Japan") has today announced the promotion of Regional Director, Jonathan Sampson to country manager of operations in Japan.
Jonathan will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Japanese business across all 13 sectors which Hays specialises in.
"Jonathan has a strong, proven background in the establishment, development and management of high performing recruitment teams and businesses," says Christine Wright, Japan-based Operations Director of Hays in Asia, who announced the appointment today.
"Over the past 10 years, and specifically the last year and a half in Japan, Jonathan has performed a broad range of responsibilities including sales, end-to-end recruitment, people management, talent development, strategy planning and implementation, corporate governance; whilst maintaining full daily operational control and direction.

With more than a decade working in recruitment, Jonathan has held senior leadership roles in small, medium and large specialist recruitment consultancies whilst servicing all industry sectors. His hands-on experience has spanned a variety of specialist areas including IT&T, accounting and finance, sales and marketing, resources and mining and banking, just to name a few.
Jonathan has also received accolades for his excellent work. In 2006, his contributions were acknowledged with a National Leadership Award from the Australian Davos Connection. The award recognises outstanding new generation leaders for their achievements and vision.
A graduate of one of Australia's premier universities, Jonathan has a Bachelor of Commerce from Melbourne University supported by various leadership development programs.
