| Award Ceremony on Jan 25 with Abundance of Prizes |
HONG KONG, Jan 24, 2013 - (ACN Newswire) - Quamnet Investment Competition, which was held during November and December last year and with full support by Wing Lung Bank, attracted an overwhelming response from over 1,000 participants. The award ceremony will be held on Jan 25 at FINDS Restaurant in THE LUXE MANOR, 39 Kimberley Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. Prizes worth tens of thousands will be given out.
About "Quamnet Investment Competition"
Quamnet is already in its 4th year to organize the investment competition with an aim to provide university students and the public with a platform to practice financial skills and gain invaluable actual experience. The two-stage investment competition is settled on a weekly basis, enabling participants a chance to win back. Given the great prizes of this year, the competition attracted over 1,000 participants, of whom two-third coming from tertiary institutions in Hong Kong, whereas one-third joining the open class. Without age limit throughout the competition, every participant endeavored to success. Unlike in the past, participants this year were required to manage a virtual portfolio of HK$1 million, which the amount was larger than other investment competitions, allowing university students to practice portfolio management and to pave the way for tapping into financial industry in the future.
Exploring financial industry talents
Participating tertiary institutions included The City University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong Shue Yan University, The University of Hong Kong, The University of Science & Technology, Lingnan University, The Open University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and The Hong Kong Institute of Education. To deliver the details of competition and share invaluable investment experience, Quamnet has visited those tertiary institutions a few months prior to the competition. Thanks to the fabulous prizes, encouraging response of the competition was received. Top 3 winners in the group of tertiary institutions will be entitled an opportunity to work with Quam Research as a remunerated research analyst trainee.
Award ceremony of investment competition
The award ceremony will be held on Jan 25 at FINDS Restaurant in THE LUXE MANOR, 39 Kimberley Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. Prizes valued at tens of thousands will be given out, which include 2 iphone 5s, 2 iPads & 1 Macbook Pro as well as coupons worth several thousands.
