Oakland, CA, Feb 8, 2013 - (ACN Newswire) - Zhone Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZHNE), a global leader in FTTx network access solutions, continues to gain momentum for the global deployment of its industry-leading MXK(TM) multi-service access node (MSAN), garnering substantial growth for its Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON), Active Ethernet (AE) and Very-High-Bit-Rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL2) connectivity. In Q4 2012, Zhone shipped more than 400 MXKs, expanding the total number of MXK platform deployments to more than 4,400 units. To date, the company has shipped more than 3 million of its GPON Ports globally and generated a total subscriber capacity of more than 30 million.
