| Enhanced Production Capacity and Facilities to Accelerate Expansion in Mainland China |
HONG KONG, May 27, 2013 - (ACN Newswire) - Casablanca Group Limited ("Casablanca" or "the Group") (stock code: 2223) has announced the opening of its new production base and commencement of Phase I operations in its plant and logistics centre at Dongjiang High Technology Park, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, the PRC on 24 May (Friday). This milestone of the Group was marked at an grand opening ceremony witnessed by many distinguished guests including representatives from department stores, franchisees, suppliers and relevant local authorities.

Mr Cheng Sze Kin, Chairman of Casablanca, said, "The launch of our new production base in Huizhou is a major strategic development which will advance the Group's business to new heights. Over the past years, the Group's proprietary brands, Casablanca and Casa Calvin, have not only blossomed into two of the top high-end and premium bedding brands in Hong Kong and Macau, but have also climbed to rank among the top ten bedding brands in Mainland China. Completion of our production base and logistics centre reinforces the Group's industry leadership and accelerates its expansion within the Mainland market which has enormous potential."
The new production base has a total site area of approximately 87,000 sq. m. The construction of Phase I of the plant, with construction area of approximately 42,000 sq. m., commenced in early 2012. Equipped with advanced facilities and production lines in the PRC, the plant is expected to boost the Group's existing capacity by approximately 30% with enhancement of its manufacturing efficiency and product quality and reduction of waste. The plant also houses a 14,000 sq. m. well-equipped centralised logistics centre which improves warehousing management, lowers logistics costs and accelerates delivery time.
Mr Cheng Sze Tsan, Vice-chairman of Casablanca, concluded, "The new production base is expected to uplift the Group's productivity and improve quality of products. Moreover, we have also embarked on an innovative promotional campaign with a series of advertisements to complement our brand development.
