Oakland, CA, Nov 19, 2013 - (ACN Newswire) - Zhone Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZHNE), a global leader in FTTx network access solutions, today announced that its FiberLAN Optical Line Terminal (OLT) and Optical Network Terminals (ONT) Passive Optical Network (PON) with Software Release 2.4.1 has received Joint Interoperability Certification from the Defense Information Systems Agency. The Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) is the established certification authority for Unified Capabilities (UC) products. This certification allows Zhone the opportunity to bid on military and government contracts, providing a robust PON based solution to support mission-critical communications.
