COMPUTEX, Taipei, June 2, 2009 - (ACN Newswire) - The "Transparent Touchpad" by Elan Microelectronics Corp. won the 'Best Choice of the Year Award', and all other winning products will be showcased in the dedicated areas at Best Choice Pavilion in TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall during COMPUTEX TAIPEI. Best Choice Award is the official ICT product competition of COMPUTEX TAIPEI, Asia's largest ICT exhibition covering the most complete supply chain of ICT products that announced the total of 29 award-winning products on June 2nd this year.
The Best Choice Award is now entering its 8th year. The number of contesting products has grown from the initial 100 to about 400 this year with 170 domestic and foreign participating enterprises, showing the recognition of exhibitors to this important event and consideration as a platform to new product exposure.
The jury representative, the Chief Director of Computer and Information Networking Center, National Taiwan University (NTU), Hsin-hsi Chen said, as a result of the variety and outstanding contesting products in each sector this year, a panel of local and foreign judges not only have given Taiwan's technological innovation a high degree of recognition, but also had regrets during the selection process to few allotted awards for some many great and distinguished products.
Enoch Du, the Secretary General of Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that there are four main features to this year's Best Choice Award. Foremost is the latest brand image design. Secondly, the press conference gives the press and media a quick preview of this year's winning products ahead of COMPUTEX TAIPEI. Thirdly, the Online Best Choice 2009 Award Prediction Contest (with combined feature of web2.0). Last but not least, the newly added Green ICT Award.
All the award-winning products will be showcased on the 4th floor at Best Choice Pavilion in TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall (Booth#: L102) from June 2nd to 6th. Buyers' voting contest is also held onsite. Buyers who vote with printed ticket downloaded from the website will receive a special limited gift.
