COMPUTEX, Taipei, June 4, 2009 - (ACN Newswire) - Thanks to the overclocking prowess of MSI G-series world championship notebook, the world-famous pro-gaming team FnaticMSI has blasted its way to two international e-sports crowns in the first half of the year alone. At Computex Taipei 2009 (June 2 - 6), MSI will be drawing on its "Championship Notebook Technology" to launch even faster and more capable models from its G series of overclocked gaming notebooks and the E series of multimedia entertainment notebooks.
Just a short while ago MSI' World Championship Notebook G series' overclocking prowess saw the world-renowned pro-gaming team FnaticMSI take the crown at the Intel IEM Continental and ESWC Asia Masters. At the finals of these world championships, FnaticMSI players blazed their way through the 3D worlds of Counterstrike and World of Warcraft to eventually take the crown. FnaticMSI felt that the superb overclocking performance of the MSI G series allowed them to play at their best. As a result, they took home the world championship and the team remains solidly in first place on the G7 pr-gaming rankings.
MSI has since refined its championship notebook technology even further. When Computex Taipei gets under way on June 2, fans of ultra-high performance notebooks will be able to see the latest G series GT628 and GT729 notebooks on display at the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall in booth L507a. The same championship technology was also used to develop the high performance EX625 entertainment notebook.
A New Look in Gaming Aesthetics GT628 and GT729
The GT628 and GT729 inherit the fiery red design that has been the hallmark of previous G series models. For a new look, red trims along the edges of the chassis provide a decorative touch that hints at the thrill of extreme speed. The brushed aluminum alloy used for the chassis also delivers a stylish appearance.
Speed, Power, Nobility
The refined chassis design combined with the impression of extreme speed from the fiery red color scheme offers gaming enthusiasts seeking contemporary style and blazing speed an all new level of experience in gaming aesthetics. The GT628 and GT729 specifications are fitted with the nVidia Geforce GTS 160M discrete graphic card (with 1GB of DDR3 memory) and ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4850 discrete graphic card (with 1GB of DDR3 memory) respectively. These high-end graphic cards deliver ultra-realistic visual effects that give gamers smoother, more detailed and more realistic 3D gaming visuals when playing games. Everything is just so much more fun when stuttering a thing of the past!
A Truly Moving Audio-Visual Experience the EX625
When the Cinema Pro hotkey is pressed, the EX625 immediately switches to cinema mode where the exclusive Cinema Pro technology makes everything look more detailed and all the sound effects even richer. Sub-woofer and Dolby Sound becomes available as well! The wave pattern design conveys a feeling of peace and harmony, while the all-new touch control shortcut keys are set against a black mirror finish. Light-colored lines accentuate the curves of the streamline front panel and make an interesting contrast to the styling of the chassis itself. The blending of cool tones emphasize a sense of refinement.
The high performance EX625 is equipped with the latest ATI HD 4680 discrete graphic card that scored over 7000 on 3D Mark performance benchmarks. When compared to the previous generation of graphic card, the new ATI Mobility Radeon HD4670 (with 512MB of DDR3 VRAM) delivers more than double the game processing power while achieving a fine balance between multimedia, gaming and energy-saving performance. The latest Microsoft DirectX(R) 10.1 is also supported while AMD's second generation UVD (Universal Video Decoding) technology is used for HD multimedia support, greatly reducing the CPU workload.
