HONG KONG, Dec 13, 2007 - (ACN Newswire) - TSMC garnered the most awards at the IR Magazine Hong Kong and Taiwan Awards. The company won awards in both general and Taiwanese company categories. Its five awards included best investment meetings, best corporate governance, best IR by a CEO at a Taiwanese company (Rick Tsai), best investor relations officer at a Taiwanese company (Dr Elizabeth Sun) and the grand prix for overall investor relations by a Taiwanese company - large cap.
Other grand prix winners included China Metal and Tong Yang Industry, which tied for best overall investor relations by a Taiwanese company - small or mid-cap; Solomon Systech for best overall investor relations by a Hong Kong company - small or mid-cap;, and Sun Hung Kai Properties for best overall investor relations by a Hong Kong company - large cap.
The winners were identified by independent research and announced at a prestigious luncheon on Wednesday, December 12, as part of the IR Magazine Hong Kong and Taiwan Conference & Awards 2007.
The awards were sponsored by ACT Conferencing, The Bank of New York Mellon, Churchill Pryce IR, Citigate Dewe Rogerson, CLS Communication, Corporate Asia Network, Hill & Knowlton, IFN Financial Press, irasia.com, Orient Capital and South China Morning Post (media sponsor).

The awards are based on the results of an independent survey of nearly 350 buy-side analysts, sell-side analysts and portfolio managers from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and other Asian markets.
