| A "Halloween Fest" great adventure designed to help youngster build self-esteem |
HONG KONG, Oct 3, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Dah Sing Life Assurance Company Limited ("Dah Sing Life") has held the "Pedal Forward to a Brighter Future - Achieving Your Dreams - Ultimate Challenge 2014" ("the Programme") at Ocean Park Hong Kong last Sunday. The Programme aims to foster team spirit, self-confidence and courage in youth through a series of challenges and tasks which will guide the young participants in learning how to face adversity independently and positively, to overcome fear and solve problems. A total of 200 young members from the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups ("HKFYG") joined the programme. Ms. Mag Lam, brand ambassador of Dah Sing Life, along with more than 20 outstanding participants of Dah Sing Life's UFuture Elite Development Programme ("UFuture participants"), also took part in the event.

The Programme is organised into group tasks with the aim to enhance the communication skills, mutual trust and courage of the participants through carefully-designed games. As Halloween is approaching, Dah Sing Life specially chose Ocean Park as the venue for this event, as the Park's annual Halloween event, "Halloween Fest", complements the main objective of the Programme, which is to encourage participants to overcome their fear. The intense atmosphere in the Park created by "Halloween Fest" greatly increases the excitement level of the Programme.

Ms. Mag Lam, brand ambassador of Dah Sing Life, said after the event, "The challenge has been 'thrilling' and pleasant! 'Ghosts' in dreadful costumes appear and participate in each 'adventure'. There is even a session of exploration in the dark. The 'ghosts' assisted the participants to complete the tasks but also gave them quite a scare when it was least expected. This certainly brought about thrilling excitement to the whole event and kept the participants aroused. I feel happy for and proud of these youngsters who have demonstrated their courage and worked as a team to complete every challenge despite the disturbance of the 'monsters' and the darkness. At the closing ceremony, Ms. Lam has shared her experience in overcoming challenges in the past and fulfilled her dream to become a singer. She then proceeded to sing "I Wanna Believe," Dah Sing Life's second "Can Do Hong Kong Spirit" theme song to encourage everyone to pursue their dreams. The winning team was awarded prizes and all participants were presented with a certificate to acknowledge their successful completion of "Achieving Your Dreams - Ultimate Challenge 2014".
