Building off Zhone's 15 years of industry experience, Caskey will discuss broadband solutions that can reach the unconnected within the Access Evolution track, touching on technologies like Passive Optical LAN (PON).
Additionally, the company's GPON solutions have now become Carrier Ethernet 2.0 (CE2.0) Certified. Zhone is one of the first vendors within the telecommunications industry to earn this GPON certification, assuring customers that they are purchasing a full featured, standards compliant, non-proprietary solution. According to the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), "CE2.0 networks and services enable multiple classes of service and manageability over interconnected provider networks."
