HONG KONG, Dec 23, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Dah Sing Life Assurance Company Limited ("Dah Sing Life") has held the "Pedal Forward to a Brighter Future Programme - Prevocational Workshops" at Novotel Citygate Hong Kong on 13 December to teach 40 youngsters from The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups ("HKFYG") practical knowledge about dining etiquette, as well as grooming for a professional appearance, aiming to lay the foundation for them by enhancing their "soft skills" in the workplace before embark on their careers.

Adhering to the philosophy of the "Pedal Forward to a Brighter Future Programme," Dah Sing Life has organised various innovative activities to instil an optimistic and positive outlook on life to youngsters, hoping that these youth will convey what they have learned to their peers. The Dah Sing Life 'Prevocational Workshop' aims to teach youngsters on the codes of professional workplace image and dinning etiquette, so that they can better equip themselves for their career which boosts their self-confidence, constantly pursuing their dreams and maintaining positive attitude to overcome future challenges.
To nurture the "Can Do Hong Kong" spirit among these future pillars in society, Dah Sing Life has invited two leaders in etiquette and image industries to host the workshops. The etiquette instructor teaching dining etiquette has worked at a world-renowned five-star hotel for more than 40 years and has served many top government officials and celebrities all over the world. For the image consultant, she has more than 20 years of experience in image consulting and has organised professional grooming courses for lot of top management from various institutions in Hong Kong. At the workshop, participants were divided into groups of 1 teacher to 20 students where female and male students were taught separately, teaching them the ways of dressing and the social etiquette that can impress others in workplace and ultimately learn to become ladies and gentlemen with good manners and a professional appearance. Each participant was presented with a certificate as an encouragement after the workshop, signifying that they are basically ready to "pedal forward" in their first stage to enter working society.
