Dominant in Rural Market, Sound Global Maintains its Leadership with Fast-Paced Growth

HONG KONG, Jan 8, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - Sound Global Ltd. ("Sound Global" or the "Company", Hong Kong Stock Code: 967) is pleased to announce that it has recently won the bids for the PPP project in 14 towns of Tongchuan District, Dazhou City and the BOT project in 33 towns of Enyang District, Bazhong City, Sichuan Province. The company has achieved a tremendous and fast growth in China rural wastewater market in 2014 with total 176 towns of new rural projects, including 114 BOT, more than three times the amount a year earlier, 6 EPC and 56 O&M.

Due to the lack of proper facilities for sewage collection and treatment, wastewater treatment penetration of rural areas in China is very low. Also, the majority of townships are incapable of building and managing sewage treatment facilities independently. As the industry leader and pioneer in the rural market, Sound Global researched and developed a solution named SMART. SMART solution is a successful integration of the Company's strengths and advantages in R&D, design, equipment manufacturing, construction, operation and management capability, with reference to the Company's experience and technical capabilities accumulated in hundreds of water projects. The Company has made significant and innovative breakthroughs in core technologies, concepts in construction and operation, and business model for the development of SMART. SMART has been widely implemented and proved as a very cost-efficient and easily manageable solution for treating scattered wastewater in rural areas.

Sound Global's business expansion in rural markets in China has been very encouraging so far. The Company will keep raising the growth pace to seize the huge market opportunities, with an aim to continue its role in preserving the ecological environment and maintain the strong and leading position in China's water industry.
