HONG KONG, Dec 10, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - Universal Medical Financial & Technical Advisory Services Company Limited ("Universal Medical" or "the Company") (stock code:2666.hk), the largest integrated healthcare services provider in China, is pleased to announce that it has signed a "Framework Agreement for Joint Establishment of Medical and Healthcare Organisations and Development of the Medical, Healthcare and Elderly Care Industry" with the Municipal People's Government of Bengbu, a city in Northern Anhui and entered into comprehensive strategic cooperation with the Government.
The cooperation between Universal Medical and the Peoples' Government of Bengbu City will generate considerable benefits to both parties. According to the Agreement, Universal Medical is to create a new hospital zone with Bengbu Second People's Hospital, construct the Bengbu Women and Children's Hospital with Bengbu First People's Hospital and build the new hospital complex with Bengbu Third People's Hospital. At the same time, Universal Medical is also to commence a number of projects including relocation projects, a traditional Chinese medical and healthcare project and a rehabilitation hospital construction project with Bengbu Fourth People's Hospital. These efforts are regarded as "projects for the people" and are set to enhance the scale and capabilities of all hospitals under the administration of Bengbu City.
Meanwhile, apart from injecting capital, Universal Medical will also introduce quality medical resources such as related hospitals and experts from Beijing, further develop medical specialties and optimise and adjust clinical department resources to drive the development of the key clinical departments in the regional and county hospitals. It will also invest in talent, technology and capital to quickly enhance medical standards, construction of infrastructure and medical institution management standards in Bengbu City, so as to build the city into an advanced first-class medical and healthcare services center in Anhui Province.
The Agreement is intended to provide favourable conditions for financing of public infrastructure and systems and procedures for the provision of public services in Anhui Province, and to speed up the allocation of quality medical resources from first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. This Agreement ushers in closer cooperation between Anhui Provincial Government and leading enterprises in the medical and healthcare sectors.
