The World's Largest Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair
On-trend Innovative Products and New Zones Present

HONG KONG, Mar 29, 2016 - (ACN Newswire) - Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and co-organised by The Hong Kong Exporters' Association, the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair is the world's largest fair of its kind. The Fair will run from 27-30 April 2016 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. There will be over 4,200 exhibitors from 33 countries and regions to present latest giftware products, providing ideal one-stop marketing and sourcing platform.

Green and Innovative Products in Vogue

Green and energy-saving products are prevailing in the giftware industry. Hong Kong enterprises capitalise the opportunities and pool resources in developing green gifts brands. Green & Associates (HK) Limited was established in 1994 and started to engage in green gifts in 2005. The company created green gifts and stationery brands V-15 and OOOBJECT with the blend of original design, functionality and eco-friendly concepts. Its market has extended to the United States and Europe over the years. The exhibitor will once again participate in the Fair and showcase various novel green products made by food wastes, such as coffee grounds, egg shell, apple pomace and tea grounds, showing how upcycling works.

Another Hong Kong exhibitor ECO Concepts will spotlight Genie Kitchen Garden by Finnish Muoto Rising Star award-winning designer Sebastian Jansson. This is an indoor fast-growing gardening gadget winning GOOD DESIGN(TM) Awards from the United States.

Chinese Products Manifest Creativity

Fair's Chinese mainland Pavilion will gather multitude of exhibitors with traditional products from Dalian, Jiangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan and so on. World-renowned porcelain products from Jingdezhen Ceramics Co., Ltd express Jiangnan garden building and natural scenery in finest craftsmanship. Dayao County in Miyilu Ethnic Garment Co., Ltd. from Yunnan dedicates in developing long-history Chinese Yi people costume culture. Products combine traditional Yi embroidery and modern fashion elements with innovation and improvement on materials and styles.

Nanjing Creative Design Center will bring "Meet Nanjing" 3D relief handmade soaps made by Tangshan Hot Spring soap-making skill. Fine soap foams contain minerals from the hot spring. Each soap also tells the story of Nanjing cultures and various tourist spots.

Brand-New Zones Cater Market Needs

Being the world's largest fair of its kind, the highlighted Hall of Fine Designs houses high quality products of about 130 brands. And there will be a number of product zones make their debut, namely Art & DIY Gifts, BYOB (Bring Your Own Bag), Photographic & Camera Accessories and Trophies & Medals, optimising sourcing efficiency and effectiveness.

The Hong Kong Exporters' Association Advocates Local Original Designs

The Hong Kong Exporters' Association (HKEA), the Fair's co-organiser, will establish an exciting pavilion, showcasing the competitive edge of about 150 Hong Kong exporters. The pavilion will include two major feature zones: Isle of Originality and Smart Design Village. And, organised by the HKEA, The Hong Kong Smart Gifts Design Awards 2016 is undergoing with an aim to foster creativity and innovation by Hong Kong corporate bodies, designers and students. The award presentation ceremony will be held on 27 April, while winning pieces will be displayed during fair period.

Ideal Platform for Effective Promotion

A number of seminars and forums will be held during the fair period. Topics range from business opportunities in Belt & Road markets, trend of gifts & premium retailing, retail scene of the United States market to cross-border e-commerce strategy. Speakers include representatives from Sears from the United States and A.S. Watson Group from Hong Kong.

The concurrent eleventh edition Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair will take place at AsiaWorld-Expo. Twin fairs render synergistic effect to stratify sourcing needs of global buyers. A free shuttle bus service will run between HKCEC and AsiaWorld-Expo at regular intervals during the course of the two fairs.
