HONG KONG, Apr 22, 2016 - (ACN Newswire) - Convoy Financial Holdings Limited ("Convoy" or "the Group;" stock code 1019) wishes to issue a clarification of the following regarding the news reports generated from various media about Luen Wong Group (stock code: 8217) dated 20 April 2016:
1. Convoy Financial Holdings Limited (stock code: 1019) and its wholly-owned subsidiaries do not hold any shares in Luen Wong Group, and have not been involved in any stock transactions of Luen Wong Group, which was listed on the GEM Board last week, as cited in the news reports.
2. The Group does not hold any shares in Lerado Financial Group Company Limited (stock code: 1225). The information in the news reports was not in accordance with the facts.
3. The Group's former CEO Mr. Mak Kwong Yiu has resigned on 31 March 2016, so the affairs of Mr. Mak and his company and interests are not related to Convoy.
4. Convoy Investment Services Limited (Broker code: 1706, 1707, 1708 and 1709) ("CIS") are not included within Convoy Financial Holdings Limited.
5. Convoy Securities Limited (Broker code: 2880, 2881, 2887, 2888 and 2889) ("Convoy Securities") is one of the wholly-owned subsidiaries of Convoy Financial Holdings Limited. Convoy Securities has commenced operation on 1 August 2015, providing one-stop financial services including securities trading, share placement arrangement, margin financing and IPO subscription, to individual and institutional investors alike. Convoy Securities is a participant of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and has a license for Type 1 regulated activities from The Securities and Futures Commission.
