KUALA LUMPUR, May 20, 2016 - (ACN Newswire) - Viper Challenge, Asia's premier obstacle challenge event series, has announced plans to expand to the Indonesian market space, with Taman Budaya at Sentul City, Bogor, set to play host for the next installment of Asia's largest obstacle challenge on 24th September, 2016. Viper Challenge, now in its third year, has racked up an impressive track record, staging mega events and catering to almost 150,000 participants from Malaysia, the ASEAN region and from as far as Europe. Viper Challenge's core values of camaraderie, teamwork and determination set the tone for bringing people together to challenge themselves and to explore its offerings.
The idea of bringing Viper Challenge to Indonesia was the brainchild of Sukhdev Singh and Stephen Tjandra, the co-founders of 'Sports Hangout Indonesia', who were looking for the right concept and right event which would entice the local population, and at the same time offer those that followed a chance to experience one of Asia's best sporting events.
The Sentul Highlands obstacle course will see participants challenge themselves over a 10km course, with up to 15 natural and man-made obstacles, and have everyone who crosses the finish line going home a winner, awarded with a medal and T-shirt to cement those bragging rights! One of the event's key messages is "Leave No One Behind" which reflects that these challenges are designed to foster a sense of community teamwork and not competition.
Since its inception in 2013, Viper Challenge has been an exciting event, not only for fitness enthusiasts, but for supporters who turn out as well. Feedback from participants has shown that this event is treated as a fun day out spent with friends and family, a great team building and bonding tool for organisations and groups, and simply a great way to meet new people in a positive environment. Participants can either participate as an individual or as a group of any size.
Viper Challenge Operations Director, Mr. Simran Latif said, "It is certainly great to see 'Sports Hangout Indonesia' take the lead and facilitate Viper Challenge's expansion. We are very proud to be the first ones to bring this new and exciting concept to Indonesia which will continuously encourage Indonesians to stay active and keep the sporting and fitness lifestyle industry in Indonesia fresh, new and innovative."
