TOKYO, May 30, 2016 - (JCN Newswire) - Mazda Motor Corporation's production and sales results for April 2016 are summarized below.
1. Domestic Production
Mazda's total domestic production volume in April 2016 increased 17.2% compared to April 2014 due to increased production of passenger vehicles.

CX-5: 26,635 units (up 21.5% year-on-year) Mazda3 (Axela): 18,779 units (up 25.4% year-on-year) Mazda6 (Atenza): 9,314 units (down 9.7% year-on-year)
2. Overseas Production
Mazda's overseas production volume in April 2016 decreased 5.6% year-on-year due to decreased production of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

Mazda3: 21,928 units (down 1.5% year-on-year) Mazda2: 7,642 units (down 26.3% year-on-year) CX-5: 3,722 units (up 12.5% year-on-year) Mazda's total domestic sales volume in April 2016 decreased 22.8% year-on-year, due to decreased sales of passenger vehicles.
Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 4.4% (down 2.2 points year-on-year), with a 2.4% share of the micro mini segment (up 0.3 points year-on-year) and a 3.7% total market share (down 1.2 points year-on-year).
