China's First House of Fraser Store Locates in Nanjing

NANJING, CHINA, Dec 21, 2016 - (ACN Newswire) - on December 21, House of Fraser, the UK and Ireland's premium department store group,formally opens its first store in China, Nanjing.




The House of Fraser Nanjing store is located at Xinjiekou Sanpower Plaza (International Financial Centre), offering customers over 1,500 brands to shop from both online and in store.It is covering a total building area of approximately 28,500 m2 with six floors in total. Design of the building is neoclassical style, which is decorated with British style clock installation, Frasers glass roof and surrounded with world's class light show. Additionally, there are around 50 video screens in the store.

The opening of the store also marks the introduction of a number of new brands to the Chinese market, who are partnering with House of Fraser due to the premium offer and location. There are also new concepts such as Style by HoF, and a Nike Beacon store, the largest Nike beacon store in China as well as Monceau, a lifestyle and cafe. The store is set to provide customers with over 300 brands as well as a premium retail experience including a VIP lounge, a VIP loyalty, and personal shopping. The world's biggest toy chain Hamleys and the American novelty retail corporation Brookstone are adjacent to the store.

House of Fraser (China)
House of Fraser is a shopping paradise listed in the chronicles of British fashion. Nanjing Store
As the first store entering the Chinese market, House of Fraser Nanjing store is located in the heart of Xinjiekou - Nanjing's CBD - also known as "China's No.1 commercial zone". Nanjing is the capital of the Jiangsu Province in Eastern China. It has total population of 8,230,000 and is also a key center for tourism. As Nanjing's commercial center, Xinjiekou now boasts a total of over 1,600 businesses of various sizes, and is also the most prosperous area in downtown Nanjing. It has a convenient transport system, with metros lines 1 and 2 and over 50 bus lines running through it and stretching out in all directions. It is hugely popular with an average of 500,000 visitors per day and a maximum of over one million visitors per day during festivals and holidays.

Sanpower Group Involvement
House of Fraser completed its sale to Nanjing Xinjiekou Department Store, a Chinese department store chain owned by the Sanpower Group on 2 September 2014 marking an exciting beginning for the company under Chinese ownership.
