TOKYO, Oct 23, 2017 - (JCN Newswire) - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) is integrating two of its Group companies - MHI Thermal Systems, Ltd. and MHI Automotive Thermal Systems, Ltd. (MCCJ) - effective January 1, 2018. Through consolidation of technologies and resources in air-conditioning & refrigeration (AC&R) and automotive air-conditioning systems, MHI looks to strengthen its global competitiveness while also focusing on building more resilient management. The integration forms part of MHI's wider business reorganization initiative, targeting scale expansion and enhanced operational efficiency. Tokyo-based MHI Thermal Systems and Aichi-based MCCJ are both wholly owned Group companies that took over their respective business operations from MHI through corporate spin-offs. MHI Thermal Systems was established in October 2016, MCCJ in January 2013. The two companies will be integrated via absorption-type split to form a successor company which will retain the MHI Thermal Systems name.
The new MHI Thermal Systems will reinforce its business portfolio through full utilization of its human resources, and pursue synergies in marketing, technology and production. It will also focus on achieving enhanced business management through cross-organizational integration of resources.
MHI will work closely with the new MHI Thermal Systems to provide all-round support with its development.
