SINGAPORE, Oct 4, 2010 - (ACN Newswire) - Oil and gas exploration and production operations push the boundaries of modern engineering and the consequences of failure have become all too apparent in recent months. Strategic Insights Into Exploration, Production and Gas Technology
Worldwide demand for energy is expected to surge substantially, prompting the need for more advanced and sophisticated exploration and production method, technology and processes. The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) projects world oil consumption growth of 1.6 million barrels per day (bbl/d) in 2010. Coupled with the decline in available oil and gas resources in onshore areas, offshore exploration is set to increase substantially.
