HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM, Apr 18, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - MTA VIETNAM will return to Ho Chi Minh City from 5 - 8 July at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), and will feature a projected 350 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions. In a survey of last year's visitors, about 90 per cent indicated that they will return for MTA VIETNAM2011 as they left the show gaining valuable knowledge and new business contacts.
MTA VIETNAM2010 saw more than 6,900 trade professionals who took the opportunity to network with key industry players and review the latest machine tools and solutions available from around the world. These included 70 group delegations from leading local and foreign manufacturing enterprises such as ABE Industrial, Dai Dong Tien Corporation, Fujitsu, Hirota Precision, Hokuriku Machinery Club, Meinan Vietnam, ScanCom Vietnam, Sunmore Vietnam, Toyo Precision, Z755 (Vietnam's Ministry of Defence) and many more. The 2010 edition had more than 340 international exhibitors which was a 40 per cent increase from 2009.
Visitors such as Mr. Dang Van Nhu, Director from Thai Ngu Hanoi said of the show last year, "This is a fantastic exhibition. There should be more events like MTA VIETNAM in Ho Chi Minh City. We're looking for forming devices and we've seen many opportunities for our company from what we have seen at the show. This is my first time at MTA VIETNAM but I'll definitely come back in 2011."
MTA VIETNAM aims to support Vietnam's manufacturing needs as the sector grows. The country's Foreign Investment Agency, under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, announced that for the first quarter of 2011 the manufacturing and processing sector attracted US$1.55 billion of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) which accounted for 65 per cent of the total registered capital. In 2010, the sector ranked second in terms of attracting FDI - up from a third ranking in 2009 with a 127 per cent increase in registered capital.
With Vietnam's manufacturing industry progressing as a result of government initiatives, World Trade Organization (WTO) commitments and industrial liberalization, the country is set to become industrialized by 2020. It is expected to be a major manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia because of an enhanced business environment due to increased trade, investment cooperation and low labor costs.
"As Vietnam's manufacturing sector progresses, MTA VIETNAM2011 is set to serve the industry with a quality exhibition that provides quality supply from our exhibitors to buyers. The event will provide an essential platform for industry professionals to network, explore business opportunities, and gather knowledge about the latest trends and development today," said Mr. William Lim, Project Director for MTA VIETNAM from the show's organizer, Singapore Exhibition Services.
MTA VIETNAM2011 will see key industry players such as Blum, Bystronic, Carl Zeiss, Chin Fong, DMG/MORI SEIKI, Fair Friend, Heidenhain, Jainnher, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitutoyo, MST, Nikon, Renishaw, TRUMPF and Yamazen. A truly international event, there will be 12 group pavilions from China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea(2), Singapore, Taiwan(2), Thailand, Turkey and United Kingdom. Exhibitors will hail from 23 countries and regions, showcasing the latest in machine tools and technologies from across the globe.
