SIWW, Singapore, July 4, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - CH2M HILL (www.ch2mhill.com), a global full-service consulting, design, construction, and operations firm announces that it will share its technical expertise and projects during the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) from July 4 to July 8, as a founding sponsor.
More than 14,000 water professionals and elected officials from over 100 countries attend the conference. The theme of the conference this year is "Sustainable Water Solutions for a Changing Urban Environment." The conference also reflects a broader focus beyond urban water solutions to include other challenges that affect the urban environment, such as climate change and the management of watersheds and river basins.
During SIWW CH2M HILL, in partnership with PUB, will be organizing a first-of-its-kind Water Leaders Summit Workshop addressing Climate Risk Management. The workshop titled "Managing Risk for a Climate-Resilient Future" will be led by CH2M HILL Water President Bob Bailey with a keynote address from CH2M HILL Chairman and CEO Lee McIntire. The workshop will explore practical strategies for managing risk in the context of uncertainty about future climate conditions. Invited executive-level panelists will share views on balancing the known and unknown to make responsible business-centered policy and long-term decisions.
Peter Nicol, CH2M HILL's Senior Vice President & Global Business Development Director, will participate in the CEO Roundtable in the India Business Forum. Neil Reynolds, CH2M HILL's International Operations Director of the Water Business Group, will participate in the CEO roundtable in the Middle East and North Africa Business Forum.
