MTA VIETNAM2011 Boasts 19% Increase in Visitors
Ho Chi Minh City's largest machine tools & metalworking trade exhibition ended on a high note

HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM, July 20, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - Ho Chi Minh City's largest machine tools and metalworking trade exhibition, MTA VIETNAM2011, closed on a high note on 8 July 2011 after seeing a total of 9,974 attendees which included trade visitors, exhibiting staff, conference delegates and speakers, and members of the press. The total number of trade visitors totalled 8,243 - a substantial 19 per cent increase from its previous edition in 2010.

The exhibition buzzed with activity as thousands of interested buyers scoured the halls over the four-day event to forge business relations with key industry players. Many were impressed with the wide array of machines and technologies available from all over the globe, and were glad that the show met their needs as they found what they were looking for during the event.

Mr. William Lim, Project Director of MTA VIETNAM from the show's organiser, Singapore Exhibition Services (SES), is pleased that the event has continued to serve Vietnam's ever growing manufacturing industry. "This year's surge in visitorship and positive comments received from exhibitors is testament to MTA VIETNAM's leading position as the must-attend leading industry trade event. We thank all our exhibitors, visitors and supporting organisations for making this year's event such a success," said Mr. Lim.

First time visitor to MTA VIETNAM, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vinh, Deputy General Director of Thong Nhat Elector-Mechanics, was pleased to have visited the show. "I feel that MTA VIETNAM is more professional than other exhibitions as I'm able to find lots of new products and technologies here. We're here to search for CNC milling machines, and I intend to buy machines by T.A.T as their after sales service is very good. I've seen MST's tool holder products at the show and I'm very interested in them as we are looking for new technologies for the planning and building of a second factory. I'm very glad to have visited MTA VIETNAM2011 as I've found what I wanted here at the show," said Mr. Nguyen.

Seasoned visitors such as Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Chief of Electro-Mechanical Department at THIBIDI Electrical Equipment Joint-Stock Company, also remarked on the comprehensive spread of machine tools and technologies demonstrated at the exhibition. He said, "I have visited MTA VIETNAM for the past few years and this event continues to bring the latest technologies for Vietnam's manufacturing industry. As part of a group delegation to this event, my colleagues and I are impressed with the product demonstrations and displays."

Exhibitors were equally impressed with visitors they met during MTA VIETNAM2011. Mr. Shaun Lim, Area Sales Manager of Carl Zeiss commented, "The quality and quantity of the visitors have improved. Carl Zeiss will continue to support MTA VIETNAM as Vietnam represents a growing market for us. We have already confirmed our participation at MTA Hanoi2012 and most probably MTA VIETNAMA2012 in Ho Chi Minh City as well."

Industry leader TRUMPF also shared Carl Zeiss' sentiments. The company sold two machines that were on display at the show, and Mr. Edward Yuen, General Manager at TRUMPF, remarked that they were very pleased with the visitor turn out at this year's MTA VIETNAM. They met quality visitors and received many new enquiries from the local sheetmetal fabrication sector.

Business deals clinched at the event

MTA VIETNAM2011 saw numerous business deals sealed at the show. Mazak, a leading machine tool builder and loyal MTA VIETNAM exhibitor, even sold their latest model on the first day of the event. Besides selling their eco-friendly Vertical Center Smart 530, they have also gotten many other enquiries on the machine as well, according to Mr. K.S Chong, Director of Sales and Marketing at Mazak.

Other exhibitors such as Amada and DMG/Mori Seiki also proudly displayed SOLD signs on their machines during MTA VIETNAM2011 and stated that they will be back next year as they felt that the event was an excellent platform for them to meet new customers. "This year's show is very exciting and we've had many enquiries from many potential customers. They were very eager and interested to get more information about the machines as they want to know how products are processed. There is a big market in Vietnam and we are dedicated to the manufacturing industry here as we would like to share our Japanese technologies with the Vietnamese industry. As for MTA VIETNAM2012 - we will definitely come back next year!" said Mr. Yukihiro Kikuchi, Group Leader of the Asia & ASEAN Department at Amada.

"For sure we will be back next year!" said Mr. Bjoern Stender, General Manager of DMG/Mori Seiki Vietnam, "We are very impressed with the development of MTA VIETNAM. This is the first time we are participating as DMG/Mori Seiki and we're amazed by the high number of new contacts we got at this event. We've also sold entry level machines and five axis machines at the show."

MTA VIETNAM2012 aims to meet exhibitors and visitors' expectations and will return on from 3 to 6 July 2012 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City.
