Exhibition and conferences together provided the ideal platform to seal business deals and exchange knowledge & expertise |
SINGAPORE, Nov 29, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - Another fruitful run for Asia's leading scientific, environmental and process technology business event concluded on 25 November 2011. Business and industry professionals got together over the four exhibition days, deriving maximum value from focused sourcing and networking opportunities at the event.
Mr. BT Tee, Project Director of Engineering Events from show organiser, Singapore Exhibition Services (SES), has begun preparations for the next edition of the show, AnaLabAsia2013, which will spotlight analytical and scientific instrumentation, with targeted programmes for research and development, environment, bio-technology, and chemical industries.
"There is good opportunity for AnaLabAsia to grow in depth and breadth, given Singapore's high GDP contribution to R&D locally and in the region. A re-alignment in buyer segmentation has yielded good results, with most exhibitors indicating a marked improvement in visitor quality, and we are happy that our clients have benefited from this initiative," says Tee.
Exhibitors award positive testimonials
Exhibitors were thrilled to meet up with prospective new business partners and were able to keep in touch with existing associates. "The crowd is good, and we've gotten some new sales leads," confirms Mr. Takashi Kumamoto, Manager of debut exhibitor Yoshimura, Japan.
Many exhibitors are already looking forward to AnaLabAsia2013. "The event is well-organised and attracts the right audience, which can be seen when we were approached by many visitors after the launch of our customised gas alarm system during the show. We will definitely come back in 2013 together with our distributor - Johnson Scientific Equipment Co," says Mr. Koji Yoshino, Subsection Chief of Marketing and Sales from Komyo Rikagaku Kogyo K.K., Japan.
Returning exhibitors appreciate the value the show presented for them. Ms. Christina Ruffert, Executive Manager International Business Cooperation ASEAN for Baden-Wurttemberg International, Germany, confirms, "It has been a Baden-Wurttemberg tradition to only attend a specific exhibition three times. However, AnaLabAsia is so well-organised that we've been coming to the exhibition for the past 12 years. This exhibition allows us to meet our target audience and it is very specialised and well-established in this region."
Quality visitors throughout
AnaLabAsia2011 attracted executives from the likes of Akzonobel, Baxter Healthcare, Baker Huges, Bayer, Chevron, Chiyoda, DSO National Laboratories, DSTA, ExxonMobil, GE, GlaxoSmithKline, Health Sciences Authority, Hyflux, Johnson & Johnson, Keppel, Kuwait National Petroleum, M+W, Micron Semiconductor, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Group, Novartis, National Cancer Centre of Singapore, National Environment Agency, Pall Life Sciences, Pfizer Asia Pacific, Pokka Corporation, Public Utilities Board, Sanofi-Aventis, Seagate, Siltronic Samsung, Shell Chemicals Seraya, Singapore General Hospital, SMOE, ST Marine, VEOLIA, Weatherford and more; reinforcing the show's appeal to the analytical science, instrumentation, testing, the analytical technology cluster.
"One of the German exhibitors has what I am looking for and we will be corresponding after the event to follow up on what we have discussed. This trip has been fruitful and I met my objectives. I definitely look forward to the next edition," says Mr. Zan Aizrul Zainal Abidin, Engineer, Laboratory Business Unit, Instrumentation & Petroleum Services Asia Sdn Bhd, Malaysia.
A thought leadership platform
The Plant Processes and Safety Conference 2011 and Sustainable Development through Energy Management Conference 2011 drew delegates into intense discussions on current industry trends and topical issues. "This is what the industry needs. The knowledge and expertise sharing was great, the experience was very enriching and the conference definitely elevated the learning curve for the industry," says Mr. Devender Singh, Regional Marketing Manager, GE Energy, and speaker for the "Strategies for OPEX savings to ensure ROI" session.
"It was a great pleasure to chair and speak at the Sustainable Development through Energy Management Conference. A common theme running through all the presentations was the fact that energy management and sustainability can add value, not only to people and the planet, but most importantly for many organisations, to their profit margin. This resonates in the triple bottom line, a balanced approach to modern business," says Dr. Martin Blake, Executive Director, The GreenAsia Group, Singapore.
The event recorded 4,052 business attendees, including visitors, industry speakers and delegates and members of the media from more than 46 countries.
AnaLabAsia will return to Suntec Singapore from 27 - 29 November 2013.
