SINGAPORE, Dec 5, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - Singapore Exchange (SGX) is pleased to sponsor the "Best Investor Relations" award for SGX Catalist companies at the IR Magazine South East Asia Conference & Awards 2011. This inaugural award recognises the efforts of Catalist companies in investor relations practice, and is introduced to inspire Catalist companies in their commitment to communicate with and engage their shareholders.
Shareholders and investors are becoming increasingly aware that corporate governance is not just about complying with rules or reporting requirements. Companies are increasingly expected to disclose more information and communicate with their shareholders and share insight on efforts to uphold good governance.

The nominees for the inaugural "Best Invest Relations" Award are 800 Super Holdings Limited, Chasen Holdings Limited, Kinergy Ltd, and Santak Holdings Limited. The Winner will be announced at the IR Magazine South East Asia Conference & Awards 2011 to be held at SGX on 6 December.
