On July 9, 2024, LegalZoom disclosed that its “current Chief Executive Officer Dan Wernikoff will be departing the Company, including resigning from the Board” and announced the appointment of a new CEO "effective immediately.” LegalZoom also “reduced its revenue expectation for the full 2024 year to a range of $675 million to $685 million and its free cash flow for the full year to a range of $75 million to $85 million” compared to its prior expectations for revenue of $700 million to $720 million and free cash flow of $85 million to $95 million.
Following this news, the price of LegalZoom stock fell $1.99 per share, over 25%, to close at $5.86 per share on July 10, 2024.
